Postdoc Research Associate- Electric and Computer Engineering
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering are seeking candidates to lead or participate in the development of a large-scale, first-of-its-kind wireless living lab encompassing bleeding-edge technologies and innovation platforms such as those for free-space optical communication, mmWave, massive MIMO, LEO satcom, URLLC, communications and networking softwarization, AR/VR, and precision agriculture.
The successful candidate will deploy and operate the deployed wireless living lab in central Iowa and lead a team of students and technical staff members in the living lab development, deployment, and operation and collaborate with faculty members and public-private project partners in project execution.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering
Prior systems building/research experience in wireless, networks, and/or distributed systems is invaluable. For instance, qualifications in any of the following areas are strong pluses;
Hands-on experience in designing, developing, deploying, and operating field-deployed wireless, network, and/or distributed systems
