Anesthesia IT is a highly collaborative group of software engineers, data engineers, and business analysts that support the research and the daily duties of the Anesthesiology Department. We are looking for a self-motivated Data Analytics Engineer to work on complex projects involving large datasets individually and as a part of the group. If you are extremely detail oriented, enjoy to solve difficult problems and automate processes, this position is for you.
The Data Analytics Engineer II shall be responsible for:
Communicating directly with clinicians and researchers to gather requirements throughout the project.
Supporting various research groups within the Anesthesia Department with their data needs:
Statistical analysis/ Predictive Analytics,
Curating ad-hoc datasets/reports from Electronic Medical Record,
Building and supporting data warehouses,
Data validation and documentation.
Taking part in internal infrastructure projects involving automation, data warehousing, machine learning, and visualization.
In order to qualify you must have:
A bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or STEM field and 2+ years of work experience (recent graduates may be considered).
Experience with relational databases and SQL.
Proficiency in Python (pandas).
Experience designing and implementing ETL pipelines using Python.
Familiarity with building dynamic visualizations using tools such as Tableau or Microstrategy.
Familiarity with Machine Learning tools and libraries like Scikit-learn, TensonFlow, H2O
Proficiency in Machine Learning
Experience with Linux
Familiarity with Amazon AWS
Experience with healthcare data
Familiarity with R
Familiarity with distributed frameworks for Big Data
