Due to business growth, Rockwell Automation's Power Control Business is adding to an already strong team of firmware engineers. As part of the Continuation Engineering group, you will experience a wide variety of product functionality through reproducing and troubleshooting of customer issues, along with developing, implementing, and testing of firmware modules in embedded applications for existing industrial motor control products with team members across the globe.
Reproduce, troubleshoot, develop, implement, and test embedded firmware applications for existing products.
Use proven firmware design techniques, procedures, and criteria in accordance with sound engineering practices, processes, and quality guidelines.
Participates in reviews of designs, code, test cases and documentation.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a focus in firmware/software development; or equivalent knowledge in the areas of embedded real-time software engineering (requirements analysis, design, testing), data structures, algorithms, and C/C++ language (or other middle to high-level language) required.
A minimum of five years' experience in embedded software development with an emphasis on the analysis, design, programming, and testing of real-time software systems using modern engineering practices using the C/C++ language.
Teamwork focused individual with good communication skills and a willingness to work in an Agile/Scrum/SAFe firmware development environment.
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team or independently.
Ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical information of a complex nature in verbal and written form.

Masters of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering; or equivalent in-depth knowledge and experience.
Five to six years of experience in an embedded software or firmware team.
Experience with Assembly, C/C++, Git, Jama, Jira, and Python.
Experience using In-Circuit Emulators, Logic Analyzers, embedded monitors and other such development tools.
Experience with SAFe.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Well established ability to organize and direct activities of other employees.
