We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Research Scientist to join our growing business of Holography Enabled Displays (HED) that meet the needs of advanced Head- and Helmet-Mounted Displays (HMD), Augmented Reality (AR) and In-Plane (IP) Head-Up Display (HUD) products. You will join a diverse research and development staff and help to support the prototyping and production of our new, cutting-edge products for our customers. Design HED subsystems based on market trends and customers’ requirements
Perform detail subsystem level analysis of the expected subsystem performance
Lead the HED prototype development
Work closely with the internal production team to mature HED towards productization
Write proposals to the Government and Industry in the area of expertise
Seek solutions for HUD, HMD systems and beyond
Ph.D or Master’s degree in the field of Optical Sciences, Optical Engineering or Physics,
Experience in applied research and development of optics or photonic systems
Experience with optical systems requiring any combination of the following: imaging, illumination, physical optics, stray light analysis, radiometry, photometry, holography, or nano-optics, ray trace and wavefront simulation, aberration compensation is highly desired
Knowledge of optical design, modeling methods, and tools for imaging and illumination systems as well as tolerance analysis, including Code V, Zemax, Python or C++ programming
Hands on experience in Optical Lab, including hologram recording and reconstruction
Experience working, communicating, and collaborating in a cross-functional environment
