What you’ll be doing...
Our Network Engineering team keeps Verizon ahead of the competition. You will be redesigning mature network areas to minimize capacity constraints and improve SINR while working with other areas of network to ensure performance fixes/initiatives are in place. You’ll have a positive impact on our organization, and change the way that our customers live, work, and play.
Search area issuance, candidate assessment, and approvals.
Partner with System Performance to improve various Network Key Performance Indicators.
Use internal tools to process regulatory compliance.
Perform Macro/Small Cell Design/In Building design including antenna selection and placement, utilize knowledge of GSM, LTE, CDMA 1x, EVDO, 5G and microwave to contribute in network design are key responsibilities.
Support the investigation and resolution of customer complaints.
Work on new cell sites, making sure site is properly integrated into network and optimized for peak performance.
Proactively looks for areas to improve overall network performance. Find and resolve system issues on the network by utilizing traditional and non-traditional means.
Provide leadership and direction to your team as well as other network teams.
Interact with cross functional teams to deploy and optimize components for best efficiency and reliability.
Provide subject matter expertise. Help train new team members and mentors current engineers. Provide presentations to other groups as required.

Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of workexperience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in RF Design & Optimization.
Knowledge of RF theory and practice as well as LTE/VoLTE Technology.
Experience in Design & Optimization of LTE/VoLTE networks.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Your degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Even better if you have yourMaster’s degree.
Four or more years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry.
Expert knowledge of propagation modeling software such as Planet EV, Atoll etc. – Expert level experience with Atoll a plus.
Understanding of LTE network KPIs and key parameters.
Experience with Model Tuning.
Proficient in office computer applications: Various RF tools such as Mapinfo, post processing software etc., MS office. Knowledge of SQL scripting, VB Scripting, other professional software is plus.
Excellent knowledge of Excel including VB macro creation and worksheet manipulation. Presentation skill and Power Point.
Excellent analytic, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and resolve issues.
Superior organizational time management, prioritization and project planning skills.
Strong leadership skills with the demonstrated ability to build trust and engagement, and act as a influencer at all levels within the group and being recognized as a leader within and outside of work group.
