About the Role SWIFT provides a range of on-site business and technical/supporting infrastructure consultancy services across SWIFT's customer base. The senior consultant operates in a highly complex business and technical environment in a selected market supported by SWIFT. As part of a team, the senior consultant is responsible to assist in formulating key, clear and attainable recommendations to the customer. These consultancy engagements aim at helping our customers to improve their operational efficiency, reduce costs and mitigate operational risk.
With experience in system design, development and/or architecture, being able to translate customers' business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications for medium to large size/complexity/risk projects in alignment with the Alliance Messaging Hub (AMH) product architecture and features. Ability to critically assess assumptions, constraints and risks related to the solution and work with customer to come to fitting strategy and solution.

Define, analyse and evaluate detailed functional requirements for projects by working in close liaison with customer stakeholders together with the SWIFT AMH solution designers and reporting to the SWIFT project manager.
Propose solutions to business problems in relation to current and future business environments of the customer and matching to current and future features of the AMH product.
Prepare, write and maintain functional requirement specifications in collaboration with internal stakeholders, ranging from the SWIFT AMH solution designers, they SWIFT AMH implementation consultants, the SWIFT quality assurance engineers and the SWIFT AMH project manager.
Identify possible AMH product gaps and liaise with the SWIFT AMH Product team assess a fit in product roadmap and negotiate possible delivery. Create and maintain lists of user stories and change requests in SWIFT Change Management tool.
Clearly and unambiguously document the requirement specifications, user stories, use cases, data flows, boundary conditions, exceptions, test and acceptance criteria, etc in either customer specific documentation standards or the SWIFT project management methodology templates.
Prepare and conduct requirement workshops, walkthrough sessions, critical review sessions and presentations on product enhancements and/or alternatives.
Provide assistance during design, implementation and testing phase by clarifying requirements, and keeping the requirements documentation in line with the implemented solution through version tracking.
What to expect:
A University degree in Business Information System, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
3 to 5 years experience in similar roles with preferably experience in software development, design or architecture of software systems; or equally through work experience in a technical writing, software development or support type of environment.

Solid experience of formal structured software engineering methodologies and visual modelling: OO analysis, design and modelling (UML).
Eager to participate in continuous improvement of the requirements gathering and design process.
Strong communication and presentation skills with excellent English, both written and spoken.
Knowledge of SWIFT products and services is an asset.
Solid experience in Word as an editing tool and Visio as flow tool, knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint is an asset.
Experience in managing user stories and change requests in change management tool is an asset.
