We are looking for a mission minded Lead Software Engineer to part of our growing team. The Lead Software Engineer works with the technical architect, manager and business stakeholders in understanding the business need and writing quality code that aligns with the product roadmap in an agile environment. As a member of the project team, you will architect, design and develop highly scalable and secure software using agile practices, interact with business partners, service providers and third-party vendors and take part in different phases of software development lifecycle. Key responsibilities - Provide guidance by identifying and articulating problems, then finding solutions and driving them to conclusion
- Provide technical expertise and leadership in design and development of high-quality software using industry standard best practices for new development of cloud native solutions
- Write secure and scalable software including unit/integration tests as a member of an agile development team
- Collaborate with team members to define user stories, iteration plans and team commitments, and achieve them
- Perform code/design reviews
- Work with infrastructure and shared services teams to implement successful software deployments and operational monitoring
- Demonstrate complex topics to a diverse audience, including business leaders and stakeholders in Sprint Reviews
Minimum Requirements: - 7+ years of enterprise level, full stack software engineering experience including but not limited to Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript and TypeScript as well as relational databases/Non-Relational database and RESTful services, in an agile SDLC
- 5+ years of enterprise level development experience in React and other frontend development technology (JavaScript, JS frameworks, HTML, CSS), in an agile SDLC
- 3+ years of hands-on development experience with relational database technologies, and cloud native reporting solutions
Critical Skills: - Ability to design and develop modern and scalable web-based SaaS solutions using Java technologies like Spring Boot
- Experience developing cloud native solutions and with cloud-based architectures and tools (AWS preferred)
- Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git, Jenkins
- Solid understanding of object-oriented principles and design patterns
Additional Skills: - Non-relational database experience is desirable
- Experience in the Healthcare industry is a plus
- Test, Behavior Driven Development (BDD) or other advanced testing techniques
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Able to think critically, logically, and independently
Education: - 4+ years of college degree in Computer Science or commensurate industry experience
