Postdoc Scholar Research Associate

The Postdoc Scholar Research Associate will be responsible for carrying out clinical experiments that will contribute to accomplishing the specific aims of the projects assigned, as funded by sponsored project grant fund 100% thru NIH. The Zada Laboratory at the Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute (ZNI) and USC Department of Neurological Surgery is seeking a postdoc scholar.  The qualified candidate will ideally have a background in translational research and grant writing. Biomedical/Medical/Electrical Engineering with single cell seq projects and clinical analysis in addition to the stroke sensor. The main project will focus on the major coordinator for an NIH grant focusing on development of a stroke sensor.  Duties involve project coordination, sensor development and validation, and working directly with patients and in a scientific team.  Prior experience that will be considered include biomedical engineering, neurosciences, electrical engineering/computer science, and big data analysis. Minimum Education: PhD, MD or equivalent doctorate within previous five yearsMinimum Experience: 1 yearMinimum Field of Expertise: Directly related education in research specialization with advanced knowledge of equipment, procedures and analysis methods.Effective 01/01/2021, Postdoc Scholars minimum salary: $58,240 Grant Funded ~ Fixed Term Postdoc Scholar position renewal maximum 5 years
