Ellison Institute is seeking a talented and passionate Artificial Intelligence Research Engineer to join its team. The Institute is made up of a diverse group of innovative and talented professionals who work in a fast-paced environment that provides ongoing support to research projects, patient care, lab research and administrative operations. The Artificial Intelligence Research Engineer is responsible for performing the following job duties under supervision: - Investigate and develop algorithms for the effective training and deployment of Deep Learning models in bio-imaging research.Â
- Develop software tools for acquiring data, processing data, visualizing results, and storing data in databases or archiving systems in in a cloud computing infrastructure.
Job Accountabilities - Develop, test, and run deep learning models for classification, segmentation, object detection and related computer vision applications using frameworks like PyTorch and Tensorflow.Â
- Experiment with algorithms, architectures, hyperparameters, software systems and discuss results with the research team.
- Develop code and systems to deploy data processing pipelines. Participate in code releases. Contribute to system design, integration, testing, and documentation, Â
- Collaborate with scientists and data analysts to improve results based on biological context and clinical interpretations.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Preferred Education: Doctorate Preferred Experience: 5 Years Preferred Field of Expertise: Proven experience achieving results in a scientific research environment. Salary Range: $81k - $104k
Minimum Education: Masterâs degree Minimum Experience: 3 years Minimum Field of Expertise: Masterâs degree in engineering or related field.
