Department Name: 8H040:Computer Science Job Summary: The Department of Computer Science at the University of Kentucky invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position to begin August 2021. We seek excellent candidates in all areas, with specific needs in data science, databases, and software engineering. A demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse teams to address grand societal challenges is highly desirable. We will consider all ranks, with preference for candidates at the assistant professor level. Tenure-track faculty are expected to build a strong research program in their chosen area and to be dedicated teachers, contributing to our instructional offering at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Visiting faculty appointments may be considered in some cases. The Department, housed within the College of Engineering, has 22 faculty members who are committed to excellence in education, research, and service. The Department offers programs leading to Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD degrees in Computer Science, and also collaborates with other departments to offer programs leading to Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD degrees in Computer Engineering, as well as a Master’s degree in Data Science. The undergraduate programs are ABET-accredited.
