We have an immediate opening for a Test Engineer reporting to the Senior Program Manager . This is an exempt non-supervisory full-time position. The position can be based in either our Valparaiso, FL or Tucson, AZ offices. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementation, coordination and execution of functional, performance, and qualification test execution at the component, subsystem, and system level against documented requirements. Test events will occur in laboratory, outdoors, at sea, and in flight environments. The successful candidate will analyze system requirements for verification methodology and feasibility; generate test planning, execution, and report documentation and; coordinate test resources to facilitate effective and efficient test execution. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide integration and test engineering support to the Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) Lead, Engineering Manager (EM) and Program Manager (PM) as part of development team designing, building, and integrating passive and active electro-optical sensors.
- Create and update test procedures and schedules for contractor and developmental testing phases that support fielding of systems.
- Provide test analyses, test documentation (including test summaries, detailed flight and testing logs for post mission analysis), and technical support by creating, collecting, and organizing daily test documentation for use with data analysis, quick looks, and final test reports upon test completion.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - BS/BA in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Knowledge of requirements analysis, decomposition, traceability, management, verification, and validation practices and techniques in accordance with MIL-STD-961.
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-882 and MIL-STD-483.
- Knowledge of qualification tests on hardware to include investigating hardware and software deficiencies, troubleshooting anomalies, and analyzing system results.
- Must be able to communicate clearly both written and verbally.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Greater than 2 years’ experience in Department of Defense (DoD) Systems and/or Test related roles and responsibilities with BS/BA.
- Experience in writing test plans and procedures to verify system functional and performance requirements and validate operational Measures of Effectiveness (MOE) and Measures of Performance (MOP) metrics.
- Experience in subsystem/system integration and test plan/procedure development and execution, unmanned system flight test plan/procedure development and execution, flight checklists, and troubleshooting guides.
- Experience in IBM Rational DOORS.
