Job Description Rockwell Automation's Medium Voltage Business is seeking a Product Marketing Specialist to be a member of product portfolio team responsible for developing and managing product lifecycles following Rockwell Automation Product Lifecycle Process (RAPL). You will be responsible for management of assigned product line(s) including product planning, definition, overall profitability (product margins), promotion, developing strategies to optimize the performance of existing and new products. The role requires engagement and coordination with strategic internal business partners, such as, Development engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Commercial Engineering, Business Systems, Sales and Commercial Marketing. Additionally, the position interacts with external third party partners and other Rockwell Automation product groups. This role has a strong emphasis on being able to gather, define and validate product requirements, user's needs and business problems, from customers along with other external and internal stakeholders. You will assist Business Management with developing plans for product lines consistent with market needs, evaluation of the competitive environment, and meeting corporate strategic business objectives. You will apply market, customer, industry, application and technical knowledge to lead and assist in preparing Product Requirement Document (PRD), Customer Requirement Document (CRD) and other Common Product Development (CPD) deliverables for product development projects & proposals (New product introductions and/or Continuation Engineering - example, enhancements, fixes for product abnormalities, cost reductions etc.). These preparations require understanding of available markets, interpretation and defining specifications, price and cost targets, and other relevant objectives for product development projects to justify the investments and measure whether growth objectives are being met. These actions require collaboration, driving engagement, acting as business representing, with a variety of stakeholders to develop the proposals. Support Commercial Marketing organization in development and implementation of key commercial programs and communications in support of product objectives. Lead commercial communications for engaging sales to promote and grow share. This will be an extremely dynamic role that will require the individual to effectively manage multiple priorities engaging with several functions, provide strong leadership in the execution of the initiatives, and engage in a multi-year market focus for the product to ensure successful product line performance.
