As part of these transformative changes occurring in the Enterprise – 'Card, Retail and Merchant Services Technology' within Consumer Lending Technology (CLT) is transforming its role, focusing on modernization and rationalization of suite of applications by designing and building reusable enterprise capabilities. Position Overview: We are currently looking to hire Senior Engineers who are self-driven and have a holistic, big picture mindset in developing enterprise solutions. These roles will be responsible for designing modern domain-driven, event-driven Microservices architecture to host on internal and public Cloud platforms (MS Azure, PCF and AWS) and integration with modern technologies such as Kafka for event management/streaming, Docker & Kubernetes for Containerization. Senior Software Engineer: The candidates will be responsible for helping support developing digital applications for Credit Card, Retail and Merchant services lines of business within Consumer Lending Technology. They will assist in supporting existing services as well as designing and implementing new business solutions, application deployment utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs. This individual will work with technical leads, business analysts, system analysts, DBA's, infrastructure and other cross-department teams to evaluate business needs and provide end-to-end technical solutions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: - Act as a Lead/Senior Developer role in a SCRUM setup and contribute in all phases of SCRUM collaborating with other team members
- Take up tooling, integrating with other applications, piloting new technology Proof of Concepts and leveraging the outcomes in the ongoing solution initiatives
- Design and develop front-end UI client applications using UI frameworks preferably Angular and Typescript along with HTML5/CSS/JavaScript
- Make enhancements to existing web applications built using Java and Spring frameworks
- Design and develop RESTful APIs in Microservices Architecture and integrate them with API gateways and consume them through the Front-End apps
- Develop cloud enabled applications that will be hosted in PCF, AWS and Windows Azure environments
- Utilize container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for application building, deployment and orchestration
- Implement message streaming, event sourcing patterns using Kafka and MQ
- Design Database schema and develop Stored Procs/Functions/Triggers using SQL for the RDBMS products like SQL Server/Oracle DB.
- Apply Domain Driven Design, Object Oriented Design and proven Design Patterns
- Follow Secured Coding guide lines, Test Driven Development
- Design develop schema less document database like MongoDB and consume them in the applications
- Work with QA teams to conduct integrated (application and database) stress testing, performance analysis and tuning
- Support systems testing and migration of platforms and applications to production
- Develop new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides
- Ensure quality, security and compliance requirements are met
- Accurately estimate software development, testing, deployment and conversion time-frames
- Act as an escalation point for application support and troubleshooting
- Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- 10+ years of Java experience
- 2+ years of MongoDB experience
- 4 + years of JavaScript Frameworks experience (jQuery, Ext JS, Kendo UI and/or Angular JS)
- 10+ years of application development experience
- 7+ years of experience delivering complex enterprise wide information technology solutions
- 7+ years of database experience with at least two of the following platforms: MSSQL, MongoDB, DB2 LUW, Teradata, or Sybase
- 2+ years of experience in microservices development
- 3+ years of experience leading technical development teams
- 5+ years of experience with Spring, Spring Batch, and Spring Boot

- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to mentor and train less senior staff
- Knowledge and understanding of test driven application development
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience applying new technologies to business needs in a technologically innovative , change-driven organization
- Knowledge and understanding of Cloud computing, PaaS design principles and micro services and containers
- Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
- Strong knowledge of technology with emphasis on the following: development operations, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), (including quality assurance, problem and incident management, configuration management, application infrastructure services (e.g. middleware), platform management, information security architecture, IAM (identity and access management), enterprise architecture, cloud, third party hosted solutions, application risk assessments, information management, enterprise data, CRM services, and books and records)
- A BS/BA degree or higher

- Financial services industry experience
- Credit Card and Merchant Services experience is a plus

Salary Information
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
