The Role Responsibilties Strategy - Operate between the Group Subject Matter Expert ("SME")'s (process owners) and the Country or Cluster Heads of Property("CHoP") to drive outcomes across the Workplace domain (Energy & Environment, Performance, Workplace Strategy, Workplace Experience, Project etc.) provide the tools, processes, resources, training, etc
- Lead and influence regional Workplace contribution to Property real estate decisions/strategies. Contribute to the Regional Workplace strategy to support and influence the full spectrum of Property projects/initiatives with the aim of obtaining the optimum solution across the Asia portfolio (inclusive of Offices, Branches, Data Centres).
- To create/review/update the various Operating Guidelines in the Division and to oversee its implementation.
- To create/review/update and maintain monthly Workplace controls, governance, assurance, reporting, data presentation, PPG preparation, Strategic proposals to the Bank's strategy
- To create/review and maintain a business intelligence mechanism using data to drive solutions, decisions and stakeholder management
- To assess, track, manage and report on the Risk related issues with the Operations of the Division.
- Contribute and influence the Regional Workplace continual improvement, best practice implementation and Workplace education.
- Optimise Regional Workplace services from supply partners and FTEs. Responsible for the outcome of Influence the performance of Workplace elements of the partnership in consultation with Supply Partner Management ('SPM') team
- Challenging the status quo and identify and drive opportunities in the region to drive workplace forward.
- Challenge the partnership to drive improvements in productivity and performance of the regional SPM team and participate in discussion around opportunities.
- Challenging, steering, and validating solutions provided by the Partnership to drive positive outcomes
- Responsible for the development and delivery of great workplace tactics, influencing key geographic and business stakeholders to ensure optimal solutions are implemented. A "challenge accepted" attitude as well as 'Know how to push back with a better option' is a must have in this fast-paced environment.
- The individual will need to develop a deep understanding and awareness related to the Bank's strategy and be able to relate Property Workplace strategy and scorecard to the overall Bank's strategies.
Business - The role is accountable through global, regional, cluster and country Property teams as well as key business stakeholders.
- Regional Stakeholder management and influencing responsibilities associated with Workplace and wider Group Property strategies.
- Ensure Regional Property and Group maintains one voice approach to Workplace issues and strategies.
- Influence appropriate Regional Workplace related expenditure to support Group and Property financial goals while balancing associated risk, resilience, and service.
- Influence the regional operating budget of more than $606m, through Project Management, Facilities Management, Energy & Environments and Workplace Experience, in the most effective manner in support of and aligned with the regional Property strategy.
- Influence Regional Workplace change to drive alignment with the Property Scorecard
- Contribute and influence attainment of Regional Property sustainability targets with associated external assurance activities and reporting.
- Influence Life Cycle replacement plans for the region to minimise impact to the business continuity and ensure effective procurement strategies and decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with the requirements set out in the Group RMF & ORF
Data and Insight - Liaise with other parts of property to improve reporting and insight through the eyes of Property and businesses, which include:
- Ensure business' needs are met (across both Geographic and Group stakeholders)
- Influence and align Supply Partners capabilities with SCB Data Analytics
- Be able to articulate and to answer 'So What' from the data and to be able to recommend ideas / actions to improve our Asia workplace portfolio

- Proactive engagements with Property, business stakeholders and supply partner - deepens partnerships, influence with future-focused, affordable and robust solutions
- Work with country and cluster on coordinating Data & Analytics and workplace related submissions to ensure consistency
- Detailed knowledge of the Group policies, processes, guidelines and standards
Risk Management - Support the Property risk owners within region (CHoP or others) as need with regards to Workplace related risks
- Ensure compliance with the requirements set out in the Group RMF & ORF
Governance - Support the Group SMEs with development and revision of Workplace operating models and provide guidance and advisory to Country Heads of Property in implementation of the operating models
- Contribute and influence the Regional Workplace policy, process, standards and guidelines and associated risk management, Governance and assurance responsibilities over Workplace processes & policies within Region.
Regulatory & Business Conduct - Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.

- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Key Stakeholders - Support Asia Business Planning Manager and Asia Head of Property for senior stakeholder management particularly CPBB and GBS within the region; developing strong partnerships, proactive discovery of upcoming projects while creating value by influencing stakeholders to make decisions when considering the wider business.
- Key stakeholder interactions are Business / Function Heads in Asia particularly CPBB and GBS
- Property Management Team and Extended Management Team.
Other Responsibilities - Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures.
- Assist in other Property related programmes/projects when the team requires additional capacity to deliver time sensitive projects as and when needed.
Our Ideal Candidate - Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate (Masters a plus), Preferably a bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Facilities Management, Project management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or other Business related discipline
- Knowledge of the facilities/ real estate market as well as a keen understanding of customer service principles
- Experience of cutting-edge Workplace strategy for the full spectrum of related activities (Soft/Hard/MIS/Workplace/Energy & Environment/Outsourced/In-house) within a global corporate.
- Experience in governance and relationship management of Workplace supply partners.
- Familiar with Workplace industry network and ability to draw best people and practise from leading industry exemplars of Workplace partnerships. Ability to incorporate industry best practice and innovation.
- Ability to alter ingrained behaviours, realign teams, business units, supply partners to new ideas, ways of working and roles.
- Excellent people skills, communication, team building, partnering techniques and mentoring skills. Ability to perform as part of a team and collaborate to drive outcomes through the network
