As an Account Manager, you are responsible for increasing sales revenue in the Central Region - United States at existing and new customer accounts.
You will develop and maintain strong relationships with your customers as well as G&H Product Managers and engineers in order to identify, follow up and execute on new sales opportunities. You will gain a good knowledge of the G&H product range and a good understanding of how your customers use our products.
The successful candidate will report to the Sales Director – North America.
Grow G&H sales at current and new G&H accounts in the Central United States.
Oversee the complete sales process from generating leads to “securing the order”.
Develop strong relationships with your customers and secure new customers.
Follow through on strategic sales goals whilst driving your sales in current fiscal year.
Represent G&H at trade shows and industry trade association meetings.
Evaluate sales opportunities and provide appropriate quotations.
Obtain forecast information from existing customers and use the G&H S&OP forecast tools.
Meet or exceed the agreed sales targets.
Optimize the sales channel and resources within G&H using distributors and/or representatives where appropriate.
Inform G&H Management/Product Manager about new interesting applications, markets or products.
Help and advise G&H Customer Services to provide outstanding service to G&H customers.
Propose creative marketing actions.
Submit visit reports, monthly sales reports and other necessary administration in an accurate & timely manner.
Take responsibility for and coordinate own travel, provision of contact information etc

Knowledge, Skill and Experience
Solid knowledge of advanced positioning techniques to enhance the win rate.
Experience required: 7 years in B2B OEM, technical sales environment, ideally within the photonics sector or sales experience within the markets into which G&H supply.
Success in growing your sales revenues by winning profitable new business
Computer proficient, good written and verbal communication, works independently, experience with data sheets and analytical software.
Batchelor’s Degree in a technical discipline. Postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
2 weeks a month travel to customers
Telecommuting is allowed.
