POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE , Plasma Science and Fusion Center (PSFC)-Plasma Technologies Division , to conduct experimental and theoretical research as a participant in a pioneering research program in the fields of plasma physics, accelerator physics, vacuum electronics and dynamic nuclear polarization NMR. Research includes studies of THz gyrotrons for spectroscopy, megawatt gyrotrons for plasma heating, and high gradient accelerators and novel sources of coherent terahertz radiation. The Plasma Science and Fusion Center offers a diverse program of research in all areas of plasma science and fusion energy research. Will be expected to make original contributions to the research program, produce work for publication, and present work at scientific conferences.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : a doctorate in physics or electrical engineering, demonstrated scientific research ability, excellent communication skills, and willingness to work in a team alongside undergraduate and graduate students and project scientists. Preference will be given to those with experience in experimental research in vacuum electronics, experimental accelerator physics, and/or plasma physics. Job #19208
