Nokomis is a dynamic high-tech company with over 18 years of history of technical excellence in the development of next-generation Radio Frequency (RF) sensor systems for multiple applications. We have created a number of technologies that are now at TRL 6 level and ready for further enhancements. Our core technology, the Hiawatha RF sensor system, is among the most sensitive RF sensors available and allows monitoring of low power signals. We are looking to fulfill an R&D Manager that will focus on capturing funding for our mature sensor and cybersecurity products. The ideal candidate will be ambitious and successful in capturing funding for mature technology and have dramatic financial incentives. Located in the Greater Pittsburgh area, Nokomis is growing rapidly, and we need a skilled R&D Manager to help us continue to expand our company.
R&D Manager Job Duties:
Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and partners within the government.
Technical writing and winning of proposals
Working within a larger R&D team to evolve solutions from concept to reality
Qualifications:
Required:
Doctoral Degree or 2+ years post-graduate experience with a Master’s Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field.
Ability to work alone and with teams, handle multiple tasks
Proposal writing experience/willing to lead proposals
Desired:
Antenna design and test experience
Strong mathematical background in signal processing and transformations
Good lab skills; soldering, rework, building jigs and adapters
