The purpose of this position is to provide Electrical BIM Management for a large technology client building data centers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the owner BIM manager to provide general support and guidance on BIM workflow and processes for internal and external stakeholders; BIM onboarding for new vendors; hold BIM kickoff meetings; provide BIM standards and templates to external partners
BIM360 - Coordinate BIM360 work space setup with BIM360 support team; provide access to owner team & AE admin to BIM360; act as owner BIM360 project admin for electrical products
BIM Execution Plan - collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop, review and approve product BEP
Interface management - manage BIM interface tagging, tracking, and validation
Clash detection - clash detection check at design milestones
Model health check:review & verify design models (live Revit models, BIM360 published models,MCAD formats) for CAD/BIM compliance at design milestones, escalating known design issues that have construction impacts
CMMS asset list creation - coordinate with DCIO CMMS team to review and finalize product CMMS asset template in the model and asset list extraction
Model change management - Maintain model change management post product development exit
BIM coordination -coordinate with other project teams on model linking and coordination
Support product model posting to document management system
Assist in the development of the overall Revit shared parameters and reusable mechanical/electrical families maintained by CAD/BIM as needed
Research & assist in the implementation of automation tools to reduce the production time internally and externally
Support minor in house model update as needed
BIM Execution Plan review report
BIM QC check report
Clash detection review report
Minimal Electrical Revit families modeling as needed
Product interface audit report
Document of vendor products and configurations
Minor in house electrical model updates as needed
Reports on CAD/BIM process improvements
Implementation & feedback reports on CAD/BIM initiatives
Data input for business intelligence reports / dashboards
Written documentation regarding all meetings and correspondences.
Written monthly status reports outlining work that has been performed by Contractor
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university. Minimum four years of related experience. Prior Supervisory experience preferred.
Minimum 5 years hands on electrical design production experience Minimum 5 years hands on BIM experience in design and engineering MCAD experience is preferred (Solidworks or similar) Knowledge of the principles and practices in the BIM environment Knowledge of the principles and practices of electrical engineering design Ability to read and interpret design standards and specifications, blueprints, drawings, redlines, etc Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Must have excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
