This Software Engineer role will support the Wealth & Investment Management Technology team with joint core responsibilities of software design, development and testing as a key team member on an agile product development team. This team member will drive the SDLC process for several critical mainframe applications and some distributed applications within WIMT and define robust testing strategy and help implement automation solutions to oversee overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production. The team member will be expected to perform development activities included, but not limited to the following listed below: - Partner closely with the business to understand requirements, business functionality and test execution needs from release to release
- Creates, prepares, and implements systems quality assurance reviews for numerous applications
- Will play the role of software designer, developer, reviewer, and tester on a cross functional agile team
- Collaborate with business and the development team to identify test automation opportunities
- Identify and Script net new test cases that will support new functionality in the Brokerage - WIMT area
- Provide technical expertise in system architecture, automation architecture, integration, debugging, troubleshooting errors
- Plan and strategize the automation approach to scripting and development of new tools as it pertains to new functionality and customer demands
- Be responsible for individual coding task assignments as well as assess impact to integrating code
- Act as a mentor for other team members, provide training as required to other resources on following SDLC processes, business process, test script creation, maintenance, debugging and troubleshooting
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years of information technology experience
- 5+ years of quality assurance experience
- 5+ years of mainframe experience
Desired Qualifications
- An industry-standard technology certification
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of automated regression and maintaining scripts in regression
- Knowledge and understanding of project management and implementation in a QA testing environment
- 5+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
- 5+ years of experience drafting use cases and test scripts
- 2+ years of TSO (Time Sharing Options) experience
- 5+ years of JCL (Job Control Language) experience
- 5+ years of Cobol experience
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- 3+ years of JIRA experience
- Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
- Knowledge and understanding of brokerage industry/operations
Other Desired Qualifications
- Proven experience with continuous integration and deployment
- Experience working with keyword and data-driven automation frameworks
- Proven experience in implementing In Sprint Automation within Agile teams
Salary Information
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
NC-Charlotte: Min: $84,000 Mid: $120,000
