Relentless Pursuit of Better In this role, you will build and manage a talented team of software developers in a geographically distributed structure. You will be the strategic technical leader in designing and developing state of the art web applications and services using a microservice oriented framework. You will work with employees and vendors on resource and budget allocation and work closely with PMO, internal business stakeholders, and partners to ensure timely and within budget delivery. You will help to drive the technical roadmap for a portfolio of products and applications. Aside from this, you will troubleshoot application issues, performance and coordinate issue resolution with operations, functional, and technical teams.
You will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and over 10 years of software development experience as well as 5 years of technical leadership experience. You will also have experience in managing software development teams, leading, designing, and implementing Java based web applications, RESTful APIs and microservices. You will also be familiar with devops practices in cloud-based infrastructure environments like AWS. You will have strong knowledge of architecture design concepts and patterns, object-oriented design and techniques, logical and physical database architectures, and operating systems. You will demonstrate experience in solving difficult technology challenges with a can-do attitude, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, define trade-offs, manage workload, and consistently deliver results. Experience in Lean, Agile, and Iterative development methodologies is also preferred.
