Spectra-Physics, the world’s premier laser manufacturer, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Product Manager for Ultrafast lasers.
Manage the product lifecycle from product launch to obsolescence
Contribute to forecasting, with sales and operations input, product line volumes and revenues
Assess product line decisions including product enhancements, capabilities, customer experience, etc.
Contribute to the development of the product and technology roadmap
Develop and coordinate complex non-standard requirements in collaboration with other functions
Develop product line service strategy with service department
Support advanced training of field service engineers and customers
Assist worldwide sales and service with technical support including travel to customer locations, international and domestic
Create content for marketing materials including datasheets, product manuals, web site, product memos, tradeshows, newsletters and collateral
Minimum 5+ years product management, engineering, service or other technical experience in Ultrafast lasers and laser applications, including laser physics, chemistry, etc.
Education: M.S. or Ph.D. in laser/photonics applications or equivalent
Hands on experience with Ultrafast lasers required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Team player and works well independently and in complex cross-functional, global teams
Self-motivated, driven and adept at multi-tasking in demanding situations
