Job Role and Responsibility:
Support the operations of multiple Enterprise scale Data Warehouse applications within the Production Support Shared Service organization. This position has the primary responsibility of providing Level 2 production support, analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving production job failures, data research, recommending and implementing code fixes as well as coordinating with the ETL Development, Database, and Business Analyst teams within each application team. Responsible for primary production support for analytical data ETL jobs within the data warehouse application environment. Responsible for troubleshooting and analyzing complex production problems related to source data. Responsible for troubleshooting and analyzing existing Ab-initio code as well as fixing the Ab-initio code to resolve production incidents. Responsible for collaborating with the business analysts and ETL team members to resolve complex data design issues and providing optimal solutions that meet business requirements and benefits system performance. Responsible for following all enterprise software development lifecycle processes and standards. Responsible for developing and fostering a positive relationship with team members, team leads and business partners. Responsible for developing and updating documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Responsible for strictly following change and incident management processes. Responsible for participating in design reviews and ensuring application of best practices and standards. Responsible for reviewing ETL code for consistency, quality and performance. Must be willing to work non-standard business hours on an on-call basis in a 24x7x365 environment. Responsible for implementing best practices for production environments. Responsible for reviewing release code in lower environments and ensuring they follow production standards. Responsible for encouraging and participating in knowledge sharing as necessary.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Foreign degree equivalent accepted.
Eight (8) years of experience in the job offered, or as a Systems Engineer, Systems Analyst, or a related role in information technology.
Requires 7 years of application development and implementation experience.
Requires 8 years of information technology experience.
Requires 5 years of data warehouse experience.
Requires 5 years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience.
Requires 5 years of relational database experience.
Requires 2 years of job scheduling experience.
Requires 1 years of Unix Bash shell scripting experience.
