Corn Belt Power Cooperative currently has an opening for an Operations Engineer in Humboldt, Iowa.
This position will:
Coordinate the Cooperative’s requirements for the North American Reliability Council’s (NERC’s) reliability standards and prepare for audits.
Perform power flow analysis.
Coordinate and report on the annual status of the Inspection and Maintenance Plan and the Reliability Plan to the Iowa Utilities Board.
Represent Cooperative in the RTO Energy Market activities and Committees.
Perform system planning and relay studies.
Support and maintain EMS/SE model.
Support Operations with Real-Time studies (Current-day/ Next-day).
Participate in regional transmission planning with neighboring electric utilities.
Analyze project requirements to determine justification and feasibility for implementation.
Assist in the specifications, purchase, and installation of equipment required in electric transmission.
Provide forecasted load models to the RTO.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent engineering field.
A pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check are required.
