These are extraordinary times. We're working hard with DWP to deliver the new systems and services that people across the country needs. Over the coming years, you'll be developing technology which has to be rock solid, reliable, and accurate - processing claims and payments for millions of people.
In Blackpool, our multi-disciplinary, agile teams work across a range of key projects including systems which pay around £50million per night to over 2 million people. You'll develop and implement business changes and application fixes to core software, take on one-off developments, proofs-of-concept and more to help improve the user experience and enable people to access the services they need, when they need them most.
What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
Significant and demonstrable experience implementing Software Engineering best practices.
Experience of translating and communicating highly technical concepts to both technical personnel and non-IT business users.
Significant experience of development using: - Java 1.8 - JEE / J2EE - XML and SOAP
Experience of Websphere application server.
Significant experience of database technologies Oracle and SQL. BPDTS Ltd provides dedicated services to the Department for Work and Pensions.
