iCoreMed is looking for enthusiastic physicians and scientists in any of the fields related to imaging science, radiology, medical physics, and biomedical engineering to join our expert team. You will work with international radiology colleagues (our clients) on improving their manuscripts by conducting pre-submission mock peer review and scientific editing. Other opportunities include scientific/research consultant and lecturer.

It is an independent contractor position. Compensation is project-based according to iCoreMed standard service types and fees. Compensation for more complex or new service types is negotiable. The contractor should act in accordance with iCoreMed policies and procedures, including but not limited to information system security, non-disclosure and confidentiality, and intellectual property agreement.
Requirements vary based on different service types and roles.
Scientific Peer Review: Assess the strength and weakness of the pre-submission manuscript by applying iCoreMed standardized review guidelines; give definite and well-supported opinions, and provide detailed and constructive criticism to help the author improve the scientific contents of the manuscript and increase its opportunity for publication.
Manuscript Scientific Editing: Provide constructive comments and suggestions to enhance the scientific value and ensure the scientific correctness of the manuscript. Improve logical organization and flow of the content to make the manuscript clear, concise, and easy to read. Ensure the information is conveyed accurately and logically. Suggest word choice using typical English scientific terminology. Fix confusing narrative digressions. Reduce redundancies from repeating the same information in different ways.
Abstract Language Editing: Improve the writing of conference abstracts to ensure the scientific/technical presentation is accurate and logical, and the vocabulary/terminology is appropriate.
Lecturer: Design, develop, and deliver scientific or educational lectures using his/her expertise in a particular subject area(s). The lecturing can be pre-recorded or steam live broadcasted using a range of methods and platforms or be given in-person at local/international workshops and conferences.
Required Job Qualifications:
Ph.D. in medical physics, biomedical engineering, computer, and electrical engineering; OR
MD with specialty in imaging science, clinical/academic radiology, and nuclear medicine.
Strong research background with extensive experience in writing medical research papers.
Extensive experience as a scientific peer reviewer.
Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, efficient, and interact well with others as part of a team.
Ability to work independently and respond in a timely manner.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A medical writer certification (e.g. AMWA, BELS, EMWA, CMWP, or other medical writing professional program) is a plus.
Experience with machine learning/deep learning AI research in the medical field.
Telecommuting is allowed.
