Information Sciences Institute (ISI) seeks a Senior Computer Scientist. This person is needed to serve as the Lead or Principal Investigator for projects involving optical communications, free-space optics, mid-wave & long-wave infrared sources and detectors, optical communications system design, integrated photonics design and test and/or nonlinear optics.
The selected applicant must obtain and maintain a security clearance. Per U.S. government regulations, eligibility for this clearance requires U.S. citizenship. Current clearance is a plus.
PhD in physics, electrical engineering or optical engineering + 5 years of experience
Experience required in SOME of the following areas:
mid-wave and long-wave infrared sources and detectors
optical communications system design
integrated photonics design and test
Experience required in
Business development/proposal writing
Serving as a principal investigator leading sponsored programs
