Rowan University is a Carnegie-classified Doctoral University (Moderate Research Activity) with approximately 19,000 students. Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) at Rowan University invites With dramatic increase in undergraduate and graduate enrollment, and a new building that allows us to expand, the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department (www.rowan.edu/ece) at Rowan University is growing. To support this robust growth, we seek energetic and innovative teacher-scholars, committed to excellence in engineering education to join our dedicated family of faculty members. The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching innovative and project-based courses in the electrical and computer engineering curriculum. Applicants with expertise in all fundamental areas of electrical and computer engineering are invited to apply, including digital and embedded systems, computer architecture, circuits, electronics, VLSI design, control systems, signal processing, communication systems, electromagnetics and power systems. The Department greatly values experiential and project-based learning, integrating emerging topics and technologies into the curriculum, and provides an outstanding and state-of-the-art array of equipment, instrument, rapid prototyping, fabrication and computational resources to support such activities. Our dedication to project-based learning is reflected in our curriculum, as all our courses have lab/project components. As a result, we seek individuals who share this dedication, has the skills and passion to develop innovative hands-on lab projects or other experiential learning activities using appropriate modern tools, and the ability to integrate such projects / activities into the course content. Applicants must have earned at least a Master of Science degree, preferably a PhD, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline. Strong communications skills, the ability to work with multi-disciplinary student and faculty teams, and ability to teach in a project based setting are essential. The appointment is part-time, non tenure-track, with renewable contracts, based on performance, departmental needs and university and budgetary approvals.
