The Laboratory of Neuro Imaging (www.loni.usc.edu), part of the USC Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, is seeking a qualified Systems Administrator III to join its team. This position works with minimum supervision to customize and maintain a multi-platform system configuration, ensuring efficiency and security. Â In this position, you will manage infrastructure projects and processes. A keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and solid knowledge base are essential. Troubleshoots problems reported by users and/or by automated network monitoring systems. Monitors and adjusts the performance of existing networks and continually evaluates the current environment to help determine future network needs. Coordinates installations, replacements and upgrades of servers and operating systems with operations staff, technical support staff and department users. Designs, programs and/or installs tools to help manage systems and application environment.
Strong familiarity with command line Linux, Centos, Redhat, and Ubuntu. Familiarity with Bash scripting, a keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and solid knowledge base are essential, experienced DevOps professional and experience with Jenkins, Puppet, and Chef. Microsoft Active Directory management, Microsoft Exchange management experience, Desktop support involving Windows, OSX, Linux, and basic knowledge of networking fundamentals.

Experience with SGE or other job schedulers;
Languages: Python, C, C++, Ruby, Perl, Java;
Experience managing clustered storage solutions such as NetApp, Isilon, etc.;
ESX/ESXi management with emphasis on 5.0+;
Experience with Cisco Nexus and UCS equipment; Experience with Cisco Adaptive Security Appliances (ASA's);
Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory GPO management and creation; Experience setting up and deploying from
Management of Apache and Tomcat
Preferred Field of Expertise:
Two years previous experience in development and operations, or related IT, computer, or operations field
Previous experience with software development, infrastructure development, or development and operations
High Performance Computing management
