We need a person who thrives on obtaining and maintaining accurate data for productive customer interaction. You must be able to ascertain and define customer needs in order to work with the team to determine highly technical and sometimes specialized products to meet those needs.
This unique inside sales position has the opportunity to work with multiple technology partners, making it an integral part of our business development success.
We want that special someone who develops technical insight and will deliver a great customer experience in pre- and post-sales. Your key deliverables are the qualification of leads from calls, email and trade shows; the conversion of leads/opportunities to sales; an accurate and comprehensive CRM database and product/services list; and a well coordinated and efficient internal sales process that promotes a superior customer experience. You will have extensive communication with foreign suppliers, as well as with internal resources in our organization.
Sales and service workflow, communication and reporting is organized and managed through a CRM software database. We want someone to be or become our CRM lead in maximizing the benefits of application features and making the most of the software tools in use.
About the Products and Customer Applications
Products and technical aspects related to the position include, but are not limited to: ultrashort wavelength tunable laser systems, test and measurement equipment for pulsed laser systems, optical frequency conversion and diode lasers.
Sampling of product applications: basic research in physics and chemistry, microscopy and imaging in biology and medical science, industrial applications such as laser manufacturing, OEM integration in life & health science and semiconductor equipment.
Utilize CRM software to ensure a seamless customer acquisition, sales and product support process. Quote follow-ups, order processing and helping with the implementation of solutions for technical problems as part of the post-sales support.
Ensure technical questions, issues, or requests are resolved in a timely manner. This may involve or require assistance from additional resources to ensure the customer is promptly satisfied.
Address incoming leads (such as RFQs) by contacting the customer to discuss and provide unique solutions that match the customer’s applications and/or research.
Key contact for customer concerns and issues to ensure they are addressed quickly and effectively to the satisfaction of the customer.
Documentation, tracking and reporting: technical quotes, RMAs, pricing, projections and budget data.
Work with Finance regarding customer status, payment issues, etc.
Logistics support: customer interface regarding shipping and import.
Available to travel for occasional training and trade show support.
Experience in a technical product industry supporting scientific and commercial customers preferred.
