Key focus of this role will be to coordinate structured root cause analysis in relation to problem solving; customer, supplier and assisting with internally generated issues. Additionally, internal auditing both from a business process and manufacturing process compliance perspective will be a major activity. Initially, attendance to the quality requirements of AS9100 will be required, followed by ensuring a smooth transition to a more proactive deployment of quality from one of conventional Quality Control philosophy to one of Quality Assurance. This will involve assisting with identifying manufacturing process capabilities, establishing improvement plans to reduce the overall Cost of Poor Quality and associated appraisal costs, whilst maintaining the high level of product quality.
High standards of customer engagement will be an essential part of maintaining existing and securing new market/business opportunities, along with supporting group standardization initiatives aimed at underpinning future scalability.
Although the role will be reporting to the MC Quality Lead, the individual will be expected to operate at a level that regularly interacts with local senior management and have the ability to lead the local quality initiative.
Underpin the achievement of AS9100, ensuring standards are compliant, maintained and meet with business needs in support of a more robust infrastructure.
Play an active role coordinating multi-functional projects for continuous improvements primarily focused on reducing CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality).
Performing internal audits to proactively determine quality risks within our processes and work with appropriate management/staff to ensure satisfactory mitigation.
Provides mentoring, coaching and suggests corrective actions as necessary.
Develops strategic plans in which business goals and objectives are met.
Deploys strategic initiatives defined in planning process and oversees the execution of activities to achieve goals.
Providing a mature customer facing lead role in ensuring effective issues management from initiation to closure of customer returns.
Work closely with all functional areas to identify supply related issues and work closely with relevant functions in closing the route cause with the supplier.
Utilising standard problem techniques/tools to address route causes and chairing MRB meetings.
As required, assisting with supplier audits for approval of new and management of existing.
Supporting the contract review activities.
Coordinating the concessions/permits along with analysis and progression of changes to further reduce.
Supporting customer and 3rd party audits.
