TissueVision develops novel imaging and tissue analysis products to help researchers develop cures for diseases. Since founding the Company based on our research at MIT with high speed 3D tissue imaging, we have seen our products and services go on to be used by thousands of scientists in academia and industry across North America, Europe and Asia and result in major findings published in top journals.
We are looking to add an enthusiastic and experienced Mechanical Engineer to our team.
As part of an interdisciplinary team you will be broadly applying your Mech E skills to help develop a novel automated tissue sectioning and imaging device.
What's it like to work at TissueVision? We are small team of collaborative scientists, engineers and programmers who have a passion to apply our expertise to make better tools for biologists. The major problem in biomedical research today is that researchers don't have the right tools to answer crucial questions, especially when investigating the all-important tissue and organ levels of biology. We make tools that fill this need.
If you find the idea of applying your skills in automation and mechanical engineering to further biomedical research exciting, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities: You will be developing a novel imaging and tissue processing platform. This will involve mechatronics, fluid handling, multi-modal imaging and processing and sectioning of tissues. As part of this project you will interact with other members of the team include experienced optomechanical engineers, programmer, and biophysicists.
This position would be ideal for a person with several years of industry experience at large or mid-size companies who is now looking to play a significant role in helping lead product development in the growing field of biomedical optics. Salary is commensurate with experience
