Excellent track record of design, simulation, and characterization of silicon based planar waveguide devices such as arrayed waveguide gratings, switches, multiplexers, demultiplexers, and coherent receivers, optical modulators;
Layout (convert designs into GDSII format) as required
Expert level in using optical simulation tools such as Lumerical FDTD /Mode solutions, Beamprop, Fullwave, Fimmprop, Zemax, HFSS, Matlab etc.
Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics and fiber optical communication theory Hands-on lab experience with transceiver, lasers, photodetectors, and optical modulator characterization and troubleshooting;
Have good time management skills and is self-motivated, and have strong desire to succeed in a fast-paced and challenging environment;
Resourceful and have strong problem solving skills;
Able to work independently as well as effectively with a team;
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must have Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a similar discipline with focus on silicon photonics chip design with 4+ Years of experience.
