Responsible to plan, design, supervise, coordinate, direct and execute electronics hardware development involving precisions analog and high speed digital design activities in support of the Optical Communication Group’s product. Strong design background in mixed-signal circuit design required. This position will design board level opto-electronic circuits addressing high speed OC an OE conversion and well as low noise signal detection and analog control loops. Initial work will be on OTDR, burst mode EDFAs, and amplifier line cards.
Specific areas of responsibility include:
Product Architecture and Physical Partitioning (25%)
Design and Implementation (50%)
Design Verification (15%)
Product Release (10%)
15+ years of experience in mixed signal circuit design, bring-up , and debug
Proficient in suitable software tools such as SPICE, ADS, and Matlab, Signal integrity modelling experience is a plus
Conversant with schematic entry and layout support
