Roshmere’s Silicon Photonics Group is looking for an Integrated Optics Designer:

Job type:

  • Full time

Responsibilities:

  • Development of photonic devices for fiber-optic systems
  • Develop and sustain device test, system characterization and verification
  • Interface with commercial CMOS foundries
  • Identify solutions to meet new product standards and specifications

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of academic or industrial experience in Silicon Photonics, optoelectronics
  • Proven track record in Silicon Photonics (SOI) device design and hands-on component characterization
  • Expert proficiency with the photonics design and simulation tools (Lumerical, PhotonD etc.)
  • Experience with high-speed RF measurements and characterization equipment
  • In-depth understanding of the integrated on-chip and off-chip photonic system architectures
  • Working knowledge of semiconductor processing, CMOS manufacturing
  • Experience with CAD/EDA tools, IC design flow, PDK development
  • Able to work independently as well as effectively as part of the team
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
