This position requires a person who has solid knowledge in the area of combined hardware and software test and verification using Labview. The job involves the development and maintenance of test plans and test automation suites that include hardware-in-the-loop. Additional tasks involve the definition and tracking of quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
A BS/BET degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required with strong hands-on experience with measurement instrumentation, and 5+ years of experience coding in C, C++, LabVIEW and C#. The candidate must have a working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and be very familiar with Microsoft Windows platforms and software development environments.
Development and introduction of SW quality assurance standards and procedures. Development and implementation of test strategies and test plans that reveal performance and stability aspects of releases of software/firmware. Development of test automation suites for the purpose of design validation and regression testing. Functional testing of industrial application oriented software features including the development of appropriate fixturing and metrology techniques as needed. Maintenance and extension of an automated SW build-time test system with hardware-in-the-loop for continuous validation of SW build integrity.
Strong experience with Labview Familiarity with PC based control of hardware including motion control systems. Comfortable with system configuration and test using electromechanical measurement and automation equipment. 5+ years of experience in Software and Hardware QA. Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Windows Shell, Python, Perl, LabVIEW). Experience with C, C++ and C#. BS /BET in Electrical or Computer Engineering or similar degree. Desirable skills/Experience: Issue tracking systems, e.g. Atlassian JIRA, BugTracker, etc. Automated software build environments, e.g. Atlassian Bamboo Microsoft Office tools, e.g. Excel, Word, Visio
