Luminit LLC is a leading provider of optics for lighting, automotive, and display applications. Luminit is looking for a Test and Reliability Engineer to work with the Projection Screen Team and help characterize movie screen performance.
Design and develop test/metrology methods to identify defects on screen materials
Evaluate and specify test and reliability equipment and equipment vendors
Develop calibration procedures for test equipment
Write and maintain general test procedures
Design and specify reliability tests (both in house and outsourced)
Develop test and metrology database
Analyze data and produce daily reports for in house and customer use
Apply and integrate metrology into manufacturing equipment
Document procedures, and train technicians in the use of specialized equipment
Provide on-site support to customers
Skills and Experience
Greater than five years of test and reliability experience in optical or semiconductor environment. Skilled in the use of vision inspection equipment and software.
Experienced in writing software code (LabVIEW, C++, etc.) for running test equipment and data analysis. Skilled in the use of statistical methods. Knowledge of JMP, Minitab, or other statistical packages preferred. Experienced in MATLAB, Mathematica, or other simulation software. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be a good communicator (verbal and written) and a team player.
Mandarin language skills would be a plus.
B.S. in Optical/ Electrical Engineering or related discipline and five years of engineering experience in test and reliability.
