As Technical Sales Manager you will be part of the senior management team working on the commercialization of the Bifrost technology. You will be responsible for the direct interaction with customers and sales effort of ASIC and opto-electronic devices based on a novel quasi-coherent technology made possible by Bifrost proprietary technique. You are expected to work in a close collaboration with the officers of the company. International travel is required.
Requirements: - M.Sc. or Ph.D. in physics, engineering or equivalent - 5+ years industrial experience with sales of advance technology. - experience with sales of opto-electronic products is a plus - fluent in spoken and written English
About Bifrost Communications
Bifrost Communications ApS is a start-up from the Technical University of Denmark located north of Copenhagen.
Bifrost has developed a cost and energy efficient, flexible and scalable method for Optical Transceivers to increase the transmission distance and capacity of fiber based networks. First target market is Access. Service Providers can expect to save millions of dollars of both Opex and Capex expenses. With Bifrost technology, it is possible to transmit optical signals over distances 4 x longer (from 10 to 40 km) than possible with current (PiN photodetector based) technology. At the same time, it is possible to configure 8 x more users (256 instead of 32) on the same fiber, thereby allowing for improved economics of operations and investments for the telco / internet providers. It has been shown to have a global potential, and is compatible with existing fiber technology installed in networks around the world.
