We are seeking a driven and independent candidate to join our photonics team in leading the next generation of products that will shape the telecommunications systems of the future.
Design and develop novel intellectual property around photonics and optoelectronic devices.
Mask layout using Phoenix
Take from initial paper/whiteboard design, to more formal design and mockup evaluation, debug, and refinement.
Maintain highly detailed and clear design reports
Simulation, modeling, and characterization of device performance
Specify the development/production test requirements.
Construct and conduct tests and measurements.
Work closely with both internal and external suppliers.
Support the overall development of the product with respect to electrical, mechanical, optical, RF design, and process development.
MS /Ph.D. in Electrical engineering / Physics / Optics or equivalent.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability and experience in the following areas:
Strong background in photonics. Direct experience with device characterization, simulation, and packaging of photonic devices.
Knowledge of the behavior of a photonic link and impact of phase and amplitude noise on performance.
Familiar with optoelectronic devices, analog design, and RF electronics for high-speed communication. Experience designing optoelectronic components of high integration level (co-packaging, etc.). A solid understanding of RF or optical design in the context of optoelectronic packaging.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
