• Primary responsibility is Design and Development of Fiber Optic transceiver modules, primarily 100 Gbit/s – 400 GBit/s. This includes hardware circuit and PCB design, simulation and modeling, and characterization of optical and electrical performance. • Leading a team of engineers from R&D, Product Engineering and NPI to coordinate all technical aspects of the product design including mechanical, electrical, firmware and optical. • This person will join a very able and creative team that has good track record of delivering high quality products supporting Finisar’s leadership position in the market.
• Demonstrated ability to be Lead Engineer for projects through various stages of Product Development • Strong skills in developing Fiber Optic modules such as SFP+/XFP/CFP/QSFP • Skills in RF design using modeling tools such as HFSS, AWR Design Environment etc. • Experience leading a cross-functional team from R&D, Product Engineering, Sales and Marketing is required • Familiarity with Product Development methodology from Product Concept through design development, New Product Introduction (NPI) and production release is required • Experience and familiarity with vendor base for Optical Products is desired • Highly self-motivated with a strong multi-disciplinary background • This candidate should have a BS degree (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics) or equivalent education and at least 5 years of relevant experience
