The essential duties and responsibilities included but not limited to building prototype devices, device characterization and identifying weaknesses in the optical performance (e.g. PDL, IL, crosstalk and ER) against specifications as established in the design planning phase of each project, exploring innovative techniques to improve the products to meet market and customer’s new requirements; conducting optical designs and simulations to analyze product feasibility and performance expectations.
*A BS/ MS degree in optics, physics, materials science, or equivalent. *2+ years of experience in optical/WSS product design and development. *Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities. *Experiences and knowledge in liquid crystal based optical. device and optical network system design, as well as optical material property analysis is a plus. *Experiences and knowledge in optical test and test equipment is a plus. *Solid data analysis and presentation skills. *Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
