| Fujitsu Optical Components (FOC), a leading supplier of high performance optical components for datacom and telecommunication applications, is seeking a Sales Manager to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA. |
Scope of responsibilities:
• Manage the business at the accounts in your assigned territory both directly and through the use of a representative network.
• Develop a sales strategy by customer and product that is used to establish the monthly ,annual, and multi-year budgets for each of your accounts
• Provide presentations on FOC products and first level technical support to customers.
• Support qualifications of FOC products including samples, supporting technical materials, as well as the set up and management of meetings/ teleconferences as needed
• Work closely with the sales support staff in Japan to help derive solutions to customer business and delivery related issues
• Work closely with the FAE in USA and the engineering team in Japan to help resolve technical product issues with the customer.
• Collect customer information regarding future business and product trends to supply to the marketing teams in the USA and Japan.
• BSEE or equivalent
• Strong verbal and written skills in English language
• 3 + years of experience in fiber optic datacom/telecom industry
• 3+ years experience in a technical sales/marketing position
• Attention to detail and follow up skills is mandatory. Must be able to multitask.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Willingness to work evenings as necessary to communicate with internal teams (in Japan) and customers in various time zones.
• Willingness to travel (domestically and internationally).
