JUNIOR FACULTY OPENING
The School of Engineering at Brown University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of photonics, broadly defined to include all light-matter science and technology in any spectral regime. We invite applications from outstanding scientists whose expertise and scholarly interests lie in the area of photonics, particularly in areas that complement the existing strengths of the School. These areas of interest include, but are not limited to: biophotonics, computational imaging, photonic materials and metamaterials, nanophotonics and integrated photonics, quantum optics, and terahertz science & technology. The successful candidate is expected to make a significant contribution to the School’s research activities and to build a strong, externally funded research program. The candidate should also have a marked interest in, and demonstrated talent for, teaching in both the undergraduate and graduate programs.
Applicants for the position must have a Ph.D. or postdoctoral training in electrical engineering, physics, or a related discipline.
